Nutella Pretzel Brownies

I have a ton of pretzels left over from a recipe gone wrong, so I've been searching for the most promising dessert with pretzels. Nutella is good with almost anything, but especially with dessert. This post is originally from Chef in Training

Ingredients:
Pretzel Crust
1/2 cup pretzels
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp. butter melted

Brownies

1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup Nutella
1/4 cup cocoa
2/3 cup flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix all of the ingredients for the pretzel crust.
Press into a greased 8x8 pan.
Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350.

While the crust is baking.
Cream the butter and sugar.
Add in the eggs.
Add the vanilla, salt and Nutella.
Add in the cocoa and flour, mix until just combined, do not over mix!
Pour the batter into the crust.
Spread the batter so that it is covering the crust.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350.
Our brownies took 35 minutes...my oven cooks weird sometimes.
Once cooled, top with additional Nutella and pretzels.

These were a hit at my house. The pretzel crust was both sweet and salty, adding a nice crunchy texture to the brownies. The Nutella flavor was subtle and the brownies were moist. This didn't take any more effort than making brownies from a mix, this recipe was a nice change.
