Peach Mango Sangria

Cheers! My best friend's wedding ceremony is today. Sara and I sat diagonal from each other in 3rd grade and have been best friends ever since. Despite the fact that life is crazy and that we're now separated by a nine and a half hour drive we've managed to stay incredibly close. We're the kind of friends who can pick-up right where we left off.

She's having an intimate ceremony with no wedding party, but we threw a two lady bachelorette party last night complete with sashes because we only get to do this twice. When we were in high school one of our friends commented that Sara or I would be the last of the group to get married...it looks like that is going to be coming true, so the sashes and shenanigans were fun while they lasted, it will be a few years before we're having our second bachelorette party.

Congratulations Sara and Matt. I love you
This sangria is summer in a glass and super easy to make.

Recipe from Averie Cooks.

Ingredients:
-1 bottle white wine (chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, or similar)
-1/3 cup peach schnapps
-1/4 cup sugar
-3/4 cup mango chunks
-3/4 cup pineapple chunks, canned
-1/3 cup pineapple juice (use whatever is in the can)

Mix together the wine, schnapps and sugar in a large bowl or pitcher. Stir until the sugar melts. Add all other ingredients. Chill for 4-8 hours.

This sangria was fantastic, you could barely tell that there was alcohol in it (always dangerous). The flavors all came through in nice layers. This is the kind of drink that is perfect for summer time.
