Brown Sugar Apple Dip

One more recipe from our trip to New Hampshire. Dave's sister-in-law made this dessert dip two nights that we were there and every night I found myself drawn to this dish. It's simple, but really delicious especially served with green apples. This post includes the recipe that was made, as well as the alternative recipe.

Ingredients:
-8oz cream cheese
-1/2 c of brown sugar (light)
-1tsp+ vanilla extract (add more to taste)

OR

-1/2 tsp vanilla
-1tsp+ caramel extract (add more to taste)

The recipe that I had was the first once, but Michelle said the second recipe with the caramel extract is tasty too.

Mix the ingredients together in a large bowl and serve with green apple slices.

I liked this dessert because it was rich and decadent, but not overly sweet like desserts can sometimes be. I also liked that it was served with apples, it's nice to eat a lot of fresh fruit in the summer, this would also be a great recipe to serve in the fall after apple picking.
